Reportedly, the matatu had halted at an unauthorized location, leading an oncoming trailer to collide with it and drag it for a considerable distance.
The Nakuru West Subcounty Police commander, Francis Wahome, has confirmed an ongoing investigation into the incident, while the DCI shared details of the tragic event on X, stating that five passengers lost their lives on the spot.
