What you need to know:

1.) A mystery flock of birds that crowded a street in Mexico has caused fear and concern.

2.) Twitter users feared that the phenomena could be a sign of the “end times” or a “crisis” after locals in Mexico reportedly saw thousands of birds crawl through the streets.

Many thousands of birds have gathered along Mexico’s roads, giving some the impression that it was a sign of the “end times.”

In a now widely shared tweet, one Twitter user took footage of the thousands of birds and warned of a “environmental crisis” that the birds appeared to be foretelling.

There have also been widespread reports of bird sightings in portions of the United States, with images from Texas and Long Island, New Jersey being shared.

Although the potential risk has not yet been clarified, several people have speculated that a storm is approaching as thousands of birds fly into Mexico.

Here are a few of the reactions from Twitter users:

1) Such flocks are “never a positive omen” according to one user stating that birds always fly “away from the danger”.

2) One user claimed the bird gangs were preparing to repeat scenes from Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.

3) Another user reacted: “in mexico, birds have started to congregate in streets. The main theory behind this is that the birds sense an environmental crisis is coming.”

4) — nikola 3 (@ronin19217435) wrote: “It’s happening. Run for your life!” and posted a snapshot of the infamous 1960s horror movie.

5) Another user reacted: “They’re celebrating Tesla’s new factory coming soon!”

6) A different user who was unaffected by the alleged “end times” statements merely stated: “Always been that way there.”

One of the causes, in the opinion of experts, could be a more natural “migration” to Mexico, given that it is “breeding season” for birds.
