Prior to the elections on August 9th, the Kenyan Supreme Court has issued a significant announcement regarding Sonko’s governorship bid case.
The review hearing for the Supreme Court’s decision against Mike Sonko will start on Tuesday, according to Supreme Court registrar Ann Amadi.
This indicates that a new Supreme Court hearing on the Mike Sonko case will take place, but without the participation of Chief Justice Martha Koome.
It is clear that Chief Justice Martha Koome has already taken a position on impeached governors, holding that they should not be allowed at the ballot or hold a public office.
Thus, Mike Sonko might receive a favorable ruling from the Supreme Court in the absence of Martha Koome, who rendered a judgment against him despite having already condemned him.
Sonko has vowed to be on the ballot for the election on August 9 despite numerous attempts to have him removed.
Sonko had remained steadfast and ruthless in his pursuit of his goals, pledging to pursue his case fearlessly throughout to ensure that he received justice at last.
