Recent opinion poll from Mizani Africa shows that UDA Candidate has surpassed ODM Candidate in popularity, and based on the data, he is likely to become the next governor of the county, just a few days after former Nairobi Governor, Hon. Mike Sonko, decamped from Azimio to Kenya Kwanza.
With six days to the general election, the Mizani Africa poll shows that former Mombasa senator Hon Hassan Omar is currently ahead in the polls with 42.4 percent of the respondents. Hon Abdulswamad Nassir is second with 40.5 percent.
Mike Sonko pledged to work with Hassan Omar after joining the Kenya Kwanza team to get the seat for the team.
They have urged the locals to back this team wholeheartedly in the upcoming election.
Residents of Mombasa County are keen to find out who will be elected as their new Governor on August 9.
