Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power interruptions on Friday, targeting several areas in Homa Bay and Nyeri.
The power cuts are intended to facilitate essential system maintenance, ensuring reliable electricity distribution.
In Homa Bay, the affected areas include Majiwa, Masakla, Kager, Otaro, Ohero, God Kado, Kager Hills, Oneno, Ngulu, Lwanda Kodote, Ligisa, Angiro, Akado, Ndiru, Ayuyu, Otolo, Rachar, Maugo, and Chiepe.
The power interruption in these regions is scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm.
Meanwhile, in Nyeri, power will be cut from 8 am to 5 pm in locations such as Kirigu Coffee Factory, Gatina Market, Gakuyu Secondary School, Mukangu Dispensary, Mukangu Market, Mukangu Coffee Factory, and others.
Additionally, areas like Munengere Village, Gaturiri Coffee Factory, Kahara Village, and several more will experience the power cut, impacting local institutions, markets, and residential areas.
