Ruto’s camp responds hours after Azimio team announced plans for Sabasaba protests.

After Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya coalition, revealed the coalition’s plans for Sabasaba protests,President Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza camp, led by chief whip Sylvanus Osoro, responded.

According to a report published on Wednesday by epaper.pd.co.ke, the Kenya Kwanza camp now wants the former prime minister to call off the planned protests and back the current government.

His remarks are in line with the ongoing efforts of the Azimio Coalition to have the contentious finance measure postponed because it is unfair to the average person.

Their response is predicted to persuade Mr. Odinga and the co-principals to change their stand prior to the much awaited sabasaba day.

Speaking at the Azimio press briefing yesterday, ODM Leader Raila Odinga stated that on July 7, 2023, he will establish a third liberation across the country after President William Ruto failed to address issues affecting common Kenyans.

Mr Odinga was accompanied by Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka, and former Defence Cs Eugene Wamalwa.

Mr. Odinga revealed that they will picket, demonstrate, boycott and embrace civil disobedience.
