According to the report released on Thursday, July 18, 81% of the population supports the movement, with backing cutting across demographic and political lines.
The survey shows strong support among different age groups, with 83% of Kenyans aged 18-24 and 80% of those over 35 endorsing the protests.
Regionally, Nairobi leads with 90% support, followed by Nyanza (89%) and Central (88%).
Even in areas with comparatively lower support, such as Western (79%) and Rift Valley (73%), the majority still favors the movement.
Notably, the support transcends political affiliations. Among Azimio supporters, 91% back the protests, while 79% of Kenya Kwanza supporters express their support.

TIFA characterizes the protests as a reflection of a generation feeling “leaderless and without party affiliation,” pointing to a deep-seated disillusionment with traditional political structures.

The survey also touched on President William Ruto’s decision to dissolve the cabinet, with 67% of Kenyans supporting the move, 20% slightly supporting it, and 13% opposing it.
