Summary:
- Lucy, a lady, describes how she joined a church and was introduced to a widower by a female pastor, who eventually joined them as husband and wife.
- Lucy later discovered that the pastor and the widower were lovers after going through a difficult period.
Lucy describes how her own pastor took advantage of her after introducing her to a man who had recently lost his wife and was also a member of her church.
The pastor even went further to pray that they would marry.
The pastor and the widower were lovers, she later discovered.
Lucy was raised in Nyahururu, where she was born and nurtured. She joined her sister, who was working in Nairobi, after completing her secondary education and began living with her.
Her brother invited her at the Kariobangi church where they both worshipped. Lucy then became a member of that church.
Unfortunately, She lost her job while in that church.
So the pastor took her into her home, where she did housework and cleaned the church as well.
After 3 months, a woman who was a member of their church died, leaving behind three children and her husband.
The pastor claimed that God had spoken to her, so she recommended Lucy and the widower to marry and raise the three children together.
After a month, the pastor called them and told them that the Lord had revealed to her that they should marry.
In front of the congregation, she prayed for them and joined them as husband and wife.
The husband advised Lucy not to have children and that they should focus on raising the three children left after the wife died.
She seemed unfazed and took excellent care of the three children.
At night, the husband would sleep outside on sometimes. Lucy may inform her pastor that her husband is cheating on him and that she should stay because he would eventually change.
Lucy was fortunate enough to conceive, but her husband was not pleased and had no intention of caring for her while she was pregnant.
He also refused to take her to the hospital after 9 months.
However, the infant died as a result of extended labor and bleeding.
The pastor did not visit her after knowing what she went through. One member of the church who visited her at the hospital told her that the pastor and her husband were lovers. She regrets listening to the pastor because they wasted all her time.
