Moses Kuria now says Kenya Kwanza Coalition may not participate in the August general elections.

• Moses Kuria suggested that election preparations be halted until the electoral commission tackles the allegedly irregular transfer of voters in its electronic record.

Moses Kuria, has stated that the Kenya Kwanza coalition may not participate in the August elections if the Independent Election and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) fails to address the issue of rigging.

Kuria went on to say that if the commission does not resolve the issue, they are willing to move all the way to the Supreme Court.

The Kenya Kwanza coalition has been at odds with the IEBC over the alleged illegal transfer of voters, which they claim primarily harmed voters from stronghold regions.

What Moses Kuria stated.

Moses Kuria reiterated on Monday, June 6, 2022, after being cleared to run for the Kiambu County governor’s position, that the Kenya Kwanza camp will not participate in the upcoming elections until the IEBC tackles the disputed issue.

“It is a severe issue that Wafula Chebukati has not addressed and it may result in the postponement of the general election because we are prepared to go all the way to the Supreme Court,” he said.

“I’m not sure why this conspiracy of quiet is creeping in, and even the media has reduced its standing by failing to question the commission about the disputed matter,” he continued.

Kuria Take on state agencies

Mose Kuria further accused the government of utilizing state entities to advance election manipulation, claiming that the plot was carried out through the Ministry of ICT, Innovation, and Youth Affairs.

“We’ve heard that CS Joe Mucheru has a team with access to the IEBC database that is modifying these details.”

In any case, the rubber meets the road, we will provide our proof, and we expect the IEBC to corroborate or refute those allegations,” he asserted.
