The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has announced the recruitment of 7,559 enumerators to work across 12 counties.
According to a notice dated Tuesday, August 6, successful candidates will be employed for a 21-day period to carry out data collection.
The enumerator positions are distributed as follows: Uasin Gishu requires 658, Bomet needs 521, Nyeri has 312 vacancies, Nakuru requires 1,002, and Siaya needs 495.
Other counties include Kiambu with 833 positions, Nandi with 432, Nairobi with 1,495, Embu with 276, Busia with 730, Trans Nzoia with 425, and Kericho with 380 positions.
Qualifications and Pay:
Applicants must have a minimum of a C- (minus) grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and be proficient in computer literacy.
Additionally, candidates must reside in the areas they are applying for and be fluent in the local language.
Successful enumerators will receive a daily wage of Ksh1,000 and a transport allowance of Ksh500, totaling Ksh31,500 for the 21-day period.
Supervisor Vacancies:
The Ministry is also hiring 762 supervisors from the same counties.
Supervisors must hold a C (plain) grade in KCSE, be computer literate, and reside in the respective counties.
They must also be Community Health Volunteers with leadership experience.
Supervisors will earn Ksh1,300 per day, a transport allowance of Ksh1,000, and airtime, amounting to Ksh48,300 for the duration.
