Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has dropped another hint following his announcement of his political stance ahead of the August 9th elections on Friday morning.
In an interview with TV47, Sonko stated that if he was impeached, his failure to run for Mombasa County Governor should not prevent his running mate Hon Ali Mbogo from running, pleading with IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati to allow Ali Mbogo to run instead.
The former Nairobi Governor, who was running on a Wiper Party ticket, has said he will not support ODM candidate ‘Sina la Ziada,’ labeling him a project.
He added that if the IEBC fails to clear Ali Mbogo, he will have no choice but to rally behind UDA Party Candidate Hon. Hassan Omar.
“We’d rather support UDA’s Hassan Omar if my running mate Ali Mbogo is not cleared. We are not going to support ‘Sina la ziada,” Mike Sonko stated.
