A 30-year-old Florida man, Drew Kohn, who had miraculously survived a 244-day coma, was tragically struck and killed by a pickup truck.

In 2017, just days before his 23rd birthday, Drew was involved in a severe motorcycle accident that left him in a deep coma with a traumatic brain injury.

Despite doctors’ suggestions to harvest his organs, Drew’s mother, Yolanda Osborne-Kohn, remained steadfast in her faith and refused to give up hope.

“It was because of my faith that gave me the boldness to speak up and push back and let them know, ‘You’re not getting a toenail or an eyelash,’” she told WTLV-TV News.

Remarkably, Drew woke up after eight months in a coma and began speaking to his mother.

“Yeah mom, I’m OK,” he allegedly told her. After years of intense rehabilitation, Drew started walking again, earning the title of a modern-day miracle.

However, this miracle was cut short on Friday when Drew was hit by a pickup truck while walking on Collins Road in Jacksonville at around 5:30 am.

The driver, who claimed not to have seen Drew, immediately called 911, but Drew was pronounced dead at the scene.

Despite the heartache, Osborne-Kohn expressed gratitude for the extra seven years she had with her son.

“God honored my request, and I’m not mad. I’m not angry. I’m at peace,” she said.

She believes Drew is now in heaven, free from suffering.

“Drew is healed, walking, not struggling to keep his balance,” she shared.

“His arm is probably lifted so high saying ‘Thank you, Jesus!’ Drew probably has a football in one hand and a Bible in the other.”
