KPLC Announces Planned Power Interruptions in 7 Counties on Wednesday, August 7, 2024

These periodic interruptions are necessary to facilitate system maintenance and will affect specific areas within the mentioned counties.

In Kiambu County, two areas will be affected. The Ndula area and Kolping will experience outages from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., affecting locations such as Kilimambogo Teachers, Magogoni, Kiboko Farm, and adjacent customers.

The Gatuanyaga, Landless, and Kisii Estate area will also face interruptions during the same time period, affecting Leather Industries, Thika Barracks, and nearby areas.

Uasin Gishu County will see interruptions from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the Langas and Kisumu Ndogo areas, affecting adjacent customers.

In Kakamega County, the Meteorological area will have power cuts from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., affecting Kakamega High, Scheme Settlement, and parts of Joyland.

Homa Bay County will experience interruptions from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the Kikubi and Nyandiwa areas, affecting Ngeri, Nyagwethe, Kisegi, and adjacent customers.

Nyeri County will have two affected areas. Munyange, Miirini, and Gituiga will face outages from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., impacting Miiri Mkt, Munyange, and Njigari Mkt. The Kiawarigi and Gitunduti area will have interruptions from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., affecting Kanyama, Kiamaina, and nearby locations.

In Meru County, the Kiengu, Kinna, and Garbatulla areas will experience power cuts from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., affecting Kiengo, Kiutine, and adjacent customers.

Lastly, Murang’a County will see interruptions in the Mukananga and Kenya Njeru areas from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., affecting Nyakianga Mkt & Health Centre, Njumbi High Sch, and nearby locations.
