Kenya Power Announces Scheduled Power Outages for March 3 in Two Counties

The power interruptions are expected to last for about eight hours, from 8am to 5pm. Kenya Power stated that the outages are necessary for network maintenance.

In a notice issued on Sunday, March 2, the company outlined the affected areas and the specific times for each location:

Homa Bay County:

  • Affected Areas: Kiabuya, Magunga, Orore (9am-4pm)
  • Other Areas Affected: Ngeri, Nyagwethe, Kikubi, Nyandiwa, Kiabuya, Laknyiero, Magunga, NYS, Orore Beach, Our Lady of Orore Primary School, and surrounding customers.

Murang’a County:

  • Affected Areas: Kahuhua Girls, Mukuyu Market, Kirogo Boys (8am-5pm)
  • Other Areas Affected: Mukuyu Market, Magunas Supermarket, Muwasco Offices, Murang’a High, Kengen Mathioya, Hon Matiba Residence, Kahuhia Girls, Kirogo Boys, Karuri Market, Muchungucha Market, Kayahwe Water Treatment, Yamugwe Market, Kamaguta Market, Ndutumi Market, Maragi Secondary School, and nearby customers.
