Jan 21 (TopNews) – In response to the mysterious death of a second-year student from Egerton University, key witnesses have presented themselves at the Bungoma police station in Bungoma County. Francis Pepela, 23, was in Kanduyi watching an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) match at night before his untimely demise, as explained by his grieving family.
Lazarus Pepela, the father of the deceased, expressed doubt about the reported cause of death. According to him, the initial information suggested that Francis was hit by a trailer, resulting in head injuries.

However, he revealed, “Some of his friends are saying that there was a scuffle at the place which caused the head injuries. We don’t know what the fight was about.”
“We expect that the information the witnesses give will help us find the cause of his death,” he added.
Francis, a journalism student at Egerton University, was pursuing his studies when the tragic incident occurred.
