“I used to fear no one would reason with me or marry me whenever I looked in the mirror,” says a first-degree burn survivor.

In summary:

1) Mary, a first-degree survivor, received a facial burn from oven gas that exploded in her face.

2) Mary stated that she did not go to the hospital and instead used honey and medication obtained from a chemist.

Mаry Ezeаni, a first-degree burn survivor, has shared the riveting story of how she survived and recovered from a first-degree burn without ever attending a hospital.

During an exclusive interview with BBC News, Mаry shared her story.

During her questioning, Mаry described the events that led to her first-degree facial burn.

She revealed that the incident occurred on November 2, 2021.

She claimed she had just gotten out of bed and gone to the kitchen to prepare a meal for her family.

When she got to the kitchen, she realized her mother had already begun preparing riсe.

She also claimed that there was fish on the slаb. So she asked her what the fish was for, and she told her she wanted to grill it in the oven.

Mаry stated that she arose from where her mother had stopped.

However, she was unaware that the oven’s gas was already turned on. As a result, when she opened the oven to light it, it blew up in her face, resulting in first-degree burns.

Mаry claimed she was unable to sleep for at least four nights following the incident.

She kept having nightmares that kept her from sleeping. She claimed that her mental health began to deteriorate dramatically at that point.

“Every time I looked at the mirror, I used to think that no one would ever’reason’ me again.” It’s the end for me; no one wants to marry me because my face was so awful at the time,” she explained.

Mаry further stated that she did not seek treatment at any hospital after the incident.

She says her mother requested that her aunt give her honey because she believed it would speed up her healing process.

They also went to the chemist, she said, to acquire some medication.

She claimed that she began applying honey and the medication she received from the chemist to her wounds, and that the burns gradually faded away.

Mary stated that she never expected the burns to fade away that quickly within a six-month period.
