FKF Premier League Round 22: Nairobi City Stars vs Gor Mahia and Four other Fixtures to be Broadcast Live

Throwback to Gor Mahia’s triumphant moment as they lifted the FKF Premier League title during the 2022-2023 season

The FKF Premier League enters the 22md round this weekend with five fixtures set to be broadcast via Azam TV and KBC channel one.

Azam TV will broadcast three fixtures while KBC will broadcast two fixtures.

The opening fixture of round 22 will be a duel between Posta Rangers and Ulinzi Stars that will be played on Saturday at the Police Sacco Stadium from 1 pm and broadcast by KBC Channel One.

Despite starting strong, the mailmen lost ground in the title race and currently sit third on 44 points, eight points adrift table toppers, Gor Mahia, and 1 off second-placed Nairobi City Stars.

Ulinzi Stars has had a fair share of troubles this season and currently sit 11th on the log with 25 points.

The reverse fixture ended in a 2-0 victory for Posta Rangers and John Kamau will be hoping that his side can do a double over the military men.

KBC Channel One will also beam live the fixture between Police FC and trouble-laden Shabana FC that will be played at the Police Sacco Stadium from 4 pm.

Azam TV’s first task of the weekend will be airing the top-of-the-table clash between Nairobi City Stars and Gor Mahia to be played at Machakos Stadium on Saturday from 4 pm.

Kogalo are winless in the last two fixtures having fallen 3-1 to Police FC and registering a barren draw against Ulinzi Stars.

Despite the two results, Gor Mahia remain firmly in the lead on 44 points against City Star’s 37. Gor Mahia also have the best defensive record having only conceded 10 goals after 21 rounds.

Kogallo’s goalkeeper, Kevin Omondi leads the clean sheets charts while Benson Omallo, whose move to Algeria fell through in the eleventh hour is the league’s best scorer with 9 goals.

Jonathan Mckinstry will be hoping that Omallo puts the botched deal behind him to inspire the team to a much-needed win.

The other fixtures to be broadcast by the Tanzanian media station will be the ties between Sofapaka FC and Muhoroni Youth and Tusker FC and KCB FC that will be played on Sunday from 1 pm and 4 pm respectively.
