Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is said to have softened his stance on working with President William Ruto following a phone call in which the two leaders spoke for nearly two hours.
According to reports seen by Topnews.co.ke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, one of the Mt Kenya Loyalists added that the former head of state is ready to build peace with every Kenyan, thus the need to scale back his attacks on William Ruto and anything that may upset the Kenya Kwanza Regime.
During the two-hour phone call on Saturday, the two former bosses are said to have discussed a variety of issues ranging from national to personal, such as the war on tax evasion.
President William Ruto, on the other hand, is said to have vowed to ‘leave’ Uhuru and his family alone, as well as to ensure that his Kshs 744 million retirement perks are honored.
