Comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested during a protest outside Parliament Buildings.
In a video obtained by Topnews.co.ke, Omondi, along with a few others dressed in red clothes, was seen protesting.
The comedian and activist was riding a horse, leading the march when police officers approached them.
“Power to the people,” they were heard chanting.
The officers then pulled Omondi off the horse and detained him.
On Thursday, Omondi had posted on social media platform X, criticizing legislators who voted in favor of the contentious Finance Bill 2024, stating that they had gone against the wishes of Kenyans.
“When the representatives of the people are unable to represent the people, the people shall represent themselves! It will not be a walk in the Park. If we lose, they must lose,” he stated.
Omondi was also arrested on June 4 outside Parliament Buildings.
Following his arrest, he was booked at Parliament Police Station.
