The commission issued a timetable for the candidates to present their nomination papers for clearance to the County Returning Officer between June 4 and June 7. Dr. Malombe becomes the first gubernatorial candidate to be cleared in Kitui in the exercise set to closed tomorrow. In the Kitui Governoship race on August 9, Dr. Malombe will face David Musila and Governor Charity Ngilu.
