Sandra noticed that Akuku's hospital bill totaled Ksh 823,000 during the course of his two weeks in the hospital. "Despite having their collateral from the January bill, which has a bigger value than the whole cost," she claimed, "the hospital has refused to accept a collateral so that he can manage his finances from outside."
