1) A man reported to be the suspect’s cousin denies knowing Collins Jumaisi.

2) Villagers and the suspect himself question the identification and investigation by authorities.

Two days after being accused of being the Mukuru Quarry serial killer, a new twist has emerged concerning the identity of Collins Jumaisi Khalusha.

In an interview with NTV, Boniface Karanja, who is reported to be the suspect’s cousin, denied any knowledge of Jumaisi.

Karanja highlighted that confusion arose from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation’s (DCI) account and identification of the suspected serial killer.

He mentioned that one of the suspect’s names differed from that of his relative, who had left the village long ago with his mother.

According to Karanja, his cousin who left when he was only two years old was named Ketrin Shiusa.

“I have not really investigated to determine if he is the one. There are two different names. There is a Ketrin Shiusa and now there is a Collins Jumaisi. There is no way those names relate to each other. There is a big disconnect, and that is something that I cannot speak to,” Karanja stated.

Other villagers also denied knowing the suspected serial killer and urged the DCI to conduct more thorough investigations into the alleged killer’s family background.

“Let them do their work and ensure that they are bringing the right people to book so that they face their consequences,” Karanja added.

Meanwhile, Jumaisi has claimed that he was tortured into confessing to the alleged killing of 42 women.

“My client, as he sits there, is in dire need of urgent medical attention for reasons that during the period under detention, he was subjected to molestation, torture and the confession that the public is being treated to having murdered 42 persons is laughable.”

“My client has been subjected to horrendous inhuman mistreatment so that he can confess to issues which are alien to him. I pray that the court directs for urgent medical attention even as they do their investigations,” stated his lawyer, John Maina Ndegwa.

Jumaisi was arrested early Monday morning after watching the EURO 2024 Final between England and Spain.

According to the police, the suspect was traced through one of the victim’s phones and later confessed to killing 42 women, including his wife.
