DCI detectives in Nairobi are intensifying their investigation into the death of a 19-year-old girl who reportedly fell from the 10th floor of an apartment in Thome estate, Kasarani.

The case took a dark turn after Lawrence Gitonga, the girl’s companion, was found unconscious inside the rented short-stay house with multiple stab wounds.

CCTV footage obtained by Citizen TV sheds light on the sequence of events leading up to the tragedy. The footage reveals Lawrence Gitonga and the girl arriving at the apartment around 3 am after a night of revelry.

Lawrence is seen leading the girl from the lift to the apartment, where he fumbles with the keys before finally gaining entry. The girl enters first, wearing only a red T-shirt, while Lawrence follows behind.

This chilling footage marks the last sighting of the girl before her lifeless body was discovered outside the apartment.

The scene inside the apartment tells a tale of violence, with blood splattered across the floor and walls, indicating a possible struggle or desperate fight for survival.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the girl may have either jumped or been pushed from the balcony.
