A Kenyan woman named Jeylaa Jeylaa has caused a stir on TikTok, hinting at a possible relationship with the late marathon champion Kelvin Kiptum.
In her posts, she shared a photo of Kiptum holding her with affection and captioned it with emotional messages. She also posted a video showing gifts she claimed to have received from Kiptum, including a teddy bear, jewelry, a watch, and cash.

“I wish ningejua ilikuwa gift ya kunaiambia (I knew these were gifts to tell me goodbye) bye. Rest in peace Kevo,” Jeylaa expressed in one of her TikTok posts.
“Yes, I know Kiptum had a wife before we started loving each other. He told me everything in 2019. I have his wife’s number too. Sometimes Kiptum used to ask me to surprise her with credit,” claimed Jeylaa in response to critics on Facebook.
Some speculated that Jeylaa might have been Kiptum’s mistress, while others accused her of seeking attention. Many criticized her for her actions, suggesting she should have respected Kiptum’s memory.
Jeylaa turned off the comment section on her posts and could not be reached for clarification. However, she defended herself on Facebook, claiming a close relationship with Kiptum and even having contact with his wife.
Kelvin Kiptum, who tragically died in a car accident, left behind a wife and two children. His wife remembered him as a loving and caring husband and father.
The incident has sparked debate and speculation online about the nature of Kiptum’s relationship with Jeylaa.
