The suspect reportedly ambushed the young boy outside the gate of the residence, where the minor resided with the man’s ex-lover. Disturbingly, the assailant managed to gain entry into the house, where he mercilessly hacked the boy to death.
In a desperate attempt to cover his tracks, he also targeted the housegirl, who bravely raised an alarm, alerting the neighbors to the unfolding tragedy.
As the assailant tried to escape the crime scene, he stumbled into a pit, creating a challenging situation for the pursuing police officers.
Kiambu firefighters were called in to assist in the difficult task of extracting the suspect from the pit, ultimately leading to his apprehension.
Fortunately, the man’s ex-lover, who was present in the house during the attack, managed to evade harm and promptly provided a statement to the police.
Meanwhile, the injured woman is undergoing treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital, and the young boy’s lifeless body has been transported to Kihara Hospital Mortuary for a thorough autopsy.
