Orengo’s statements followed Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi’s announcement of a coalition for Raila in 2027. David Murathe also affirmed Raila as the next flagbearer.

Accompanied by political figures, Orengo stressed unity, praising Kericho Governor Mutahi for embracing diversity. Orengo clarified his role as chief guest at the bursary function, highlighting his ties to Kericho and collaborative efforts with Mutahi.

“I was born and fed here in Kericho. It’s here where I got the legal skills, and it was also my first working station,” Orengo pointed out, emphasizing his connection to the region.

Governor Mutahi echoed Orengo’s sentiments, emphasizing collaboration for regional development. He pledged support for Siaya’s initiatives and proposed exchange programs between the two regions. Mutahi also addressed boundary conflicts, expressing commitment to resolving them amicably for peaceful coexistence.

“We must co-exist peacefully as neighbors,” said Mutahi, concluding the commitment to resolving the Sondu-Kericho boundary conflicts and fostering peaceful coexistence.
