Kirinyaga County governor Anne Waiguru delivered her address today revealing the type of gift she was going to give to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who was also present at today’s devolution conference in Uasin Gishu.
Waiguru began her address by describing a book that they wrote as a Council of Governors (CoG) that focuses on devolution and the effects it has had on the Kenyan republic.
She then concluded by adding that she will provide honorable Raila Odinga with a recently authored devolution book as a gift.
It should be remembered that Raila is one of the known leaders in the country who were on the forefront of championing for the implementation of the current devolution and decentralization that Kenyans are enjoying.
“The devolution book is a publication that seeks to enlighten readers on the history of decentralization in Kenya and the country’s transition from a centralized to a devolved system. It aims to help us learn from the past. I request right honorable former Prime Minister that you secure a copy for your read before you leave. We will be very happy to give it to you as a gift from the council,” Governor Anne Waiguru stated
