The Azimio Coalition has published a new statement regarding Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s whereabouts.
Opiyo Wandayi, National Assembly Minority Leader, said on Friday, July 21, that former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is currently under house arrest.
Wandayi reported that Kalonzo had been barred from leaving his home for the last two days in an attempt to prevent him from participating in the ongoing nationwide demonstrations.
“All we know is that His Excellency Kalonzo Musyoka has been detained for the last two days, and has not been able to leave his house,” Wandayi alleged.
Wandayi criticized the State’s efforts to organize a witch hunt against the Opposition wing. Wandayi claims that Kalonzo hasn’t been able to leave his house in order to take care of any personal business.
“Kalonzo is a national leader of repute, but the government decided to lock and block him from going about his businesses. This is unprecedented,” Wandayi stated.
It is important to note that these are just reports at this stage, and there has been no official confirmation from the government or from Musyoka himself.
However, the reports have sparked a lot of speculation and discussion, and it remains to be seen what will happen next.
We will keep you updated on this developing story.
