Finland and Sweden, two nations in Europe, are among the six places on earth where the sun never sets for a certain period of time.
Many of these nations have months of sunlight, and others have days where it is completely dark.
According to our research, the following are the places where the sun never sets:
1) Finland
The majority of Finland doesn’t see the sun set for 73 days consecutive during the summer. However, there is no sunshine in the area during the winter.
Due to the constant sunlight, people in those regions sleep more in the winter and less in the summer.
- Sweden
In some parts of the country, the year can have up to six months of nonstop sunlight.
The sun emerges at four in the morning and sets at midnight from early May through the end of August.
3) Norway
Norway, also referred to as the Country of the Midnight Sun, goes for 76 days without seeing the sun set.
There is constant sunlight during that time, which is from May through the close of July.
From April 10 to August 23, the city of Svalbard in the country gets nonstop sunshine.
4) Iceland
Iceland is well known for being the only nation without mosquitoes and for having very bright summer nights. Additionally, the sun doesn’t set at all in June.
5) Barrow, Alaska
From late May until the late July, the sun never sets in this area.
It’s interesting to note that the sun doesn’t appear for 30 straight days starting in early November.
The polar night is the name given to this time without sunrise. As a consequence, the country experiences complete darkness during the winter.
6) Nunavut, Canada
In the Northwest of Canada, where Nunavut is located, there are roughly two months of constant daylight.
But during the winter, the area experiences 30 straight days of complete darkness.
