A Nairobi man was sentenced to six months in prison after being found guilty of assaulting his wife, who lost one of her teeth as a result of the assault.
The event took place at the couple’s residence in Kawangware Stage Two of Dagoretti, where the accused forced open the door when the complainant went to do so.
As a result, he attacked her and beat her so badly that she lost her tooth.
The suspect was given a six-month prison sentence by Magistrate Derrick Kuto for causing his wife great bodily harm.
Natembeya asked for mercy from the court in his defense, saying that he was merely behaving emotionally.
The magistrate rejected his wife’s request to withdraw the charge, saying that she should have done so at the police station.
