Laikipia: Kiunjuri Asks Ruto For More Appointments

Laikipia East MP Mwangi Kiunjuri has sought the President William Ruto to forgive them for having negative political scorecard in the last General Elections which was held on August 9th 2022.

Speaking on Sunday 8th January, during Interdenominational thanksgiving service at Nanyuki Stadium, Kiunjuri noted that the sermon from God’s servants on abandoning bad memories and unhappiness has healed them including his friend [President]

“I believe my good friend Your Excellency you will forgive us for negative credit in politics, there was a lot  turmoil but i was not part of it.

We know that we have a President who will help us implement and sort out our issues in short time, middle term and long-term,” Kiunjuri said

He bashed the previous government  for skipping out Laikipia in national projects whereas they had invested much political synergy in it

Kiunjuri has also recommended Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that they will support him as the Mt Kenya leader for them to benefit from the current administration both from President and Gachagua

“We shall spend 99 percent of our time articulating what you have done for us and not being distracted by the sideshows being peddled around.

We have had issues of insecurity and we are requesting that your government through our very able Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government Prof Kithure Kindiki to recruit National Police Reservists in order to help them combat banditry attacks,” He added

The vocal legislator who was ousted in the last regime for associating with by then DP thanked President William Ruto for appointing their children from Laikipia County

“Your Excellency, we thank you for appointing PS in charge of wildlife Sylvia Museiya and Patrick Mariru PS in charge of Defence and another one (anonymous) who relocated to another county,” Kiunjuri underscored

According to our research, Laikipia has been remembered for in all other regimes apart from Mwai Kibaki’s reign, they never had more than seven board directors and heads of sagas, it’s only this time [Ruto’s reign] they are boasting of ten appointed individuals
