A Kisumu Bound Passengers train has reportedly been involved in an accident, according to news that has just started to circulate.
There have been reports that the train derailed at Mamboleo Junction in Kisumu, however authorities have confirmed that no casualties have been reported while Kenya Railways workers work to stabilize the situation.
At least 250 people were on board the train.
This is not the first time that such an occurrence has occurred in Kenya, with the old train frequently derailing and generating panic.
Many Kenyans have criticized the former administration of President Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to modernize our railroads.
Many said that the aforementioned government was spending money on things other than repairing these outdated trains.
