Breaking: EPL will postpone its fixtures following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II

After ruling for 70 years, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch passed yesterday at Balmoral at the age of 96.

A minute of quiet was observed before the first half of Arsenal’s Europa League match against FC Zurich, while Manchester United will also observe a moment of silence prior to its Europa League match against Real Sociedad.

However, according to sources, all organized sports will be suspended as of tomorrow, which means this weekend’s Premier League games will not take place.

The English football leagues and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) will now talk about the future strategy for postponing games.

The BMW PGA Championship will not continue on Thursday, according to the DP World Tour.

The following statement was made: “Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, . in the BMW PGA Championship has been suspended for the remainder of Thursday.

“All facilities in the Championship Village will close with immediate effect.
