Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS), Lt. Gen. Mohamed Badi, has endorsed Raila Odinga state house bid , making him the first active military official to do so.
Lt. General Badi, who was reassigned from the Air Force when President Uhuru commissioned the NMS and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko signed a Deed of Transfer ceding four core functions, including planning and transportation, accompanied Odinga to a town hall meeting.
On Monday July 25, Badi promised to make sure that motorcycles seized by the city inspectorate were given back to the owners in a speech at the Nyayo National Stadium’s Indoor Arena in Nairobi.
“I want to assure you, Your Excellency, that we will engage the Inspector General of Police to ensure all these boda bodas are freed before the election,” Badi stated while addressing boda boda riders at Nyayo National Stadium’s Indoor Arena
“We will dismiss all the rogue inspectorate officers harassing our riders,” he continued
