What you should know:

1) A concerned teacher expresses her concern about 11 children who are struggling to survive after their father died and left them in their mother’s care.

2) The teacher hopes that each child will be assigned a well-wisher who will accompany them throughout their education and other requirements.

A Concerned teacher from Kandimu Primary School in Mwingi North, Kitui County, have raised concern by posting photos of four of eleven children who are struggling to survive.

The children’s father died, leaving them in the care of their mother.

It’s been reported that their mother married another guy, leaving the children to fend for themselves.

Three girls and one boy dressed in school uniform and slippers stood in front of their house in a photo posted online.

The thatch is almost falling off the hut, making it seem pitiful. The father has a second wife, who, according to the teachers, suffers from significant health problems and is unable to assist the children.

One of the sons is a student at Mwangea Secondary School, a local day school, and is alleged to have been sick recently.

The teacher hopes that each child will be assigned a well-wisher who will help them with their studies and other needs.
