Uhuru Kenyatta is due to campaign in Mount Kenya and around the country in favor of Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of the Azimio coalition.
According to one of his closest allies, Hon. Kanini Kega, the president will begin campaigning in June and July in preparation for the August 9 general elections.

Uhuru Kenyatta’s change of mind, as revealed by the Kieni MP, comes barely hours after Kenya Kwanza camp allies ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ruto’s running partner Rigathi Gachagua arrived to celebrate his absence from Raila’s campaign path.
According to ANC leader Mudavadi in Nyeri County, Raila has been left alone by President Uhuru so that he can get down to business and popularize his campaign on his own.
On the other hand, Kenya Kwanza running mate Rigathi Gachagua warned ODM leader Raila about the difficult and arduous road ahead when they learned that Uhuru had not campaigned for Raila after the announcement of Martha Karua and Gachagua as running mate for the two camps.
